Mark E. Robitaille Honored for Leadership and Public Service

Spring 2015 | By Donna Murphy

Mark Robitaille, president and chief executive officer of Martin Health System, was honored with the Pete Hegener Leadership Award from the Economic Development Council (EDC) of St. Lucie County. The award is named in honor of the late Pete Hegener, the driving force behind the development of both St.
Lucie West and Tradition.

Ken Pruitt, St. Lucie County Property Appraiser and former state senator, presented the award to Mark Robitaille at the EDC’s Leadership Dinner on February 12. “Mark has left a legacy of high-quality health care, economic development and leadership in St. Lucie County that truly reflect the values Pete Hegener embodied,” Pruitt said. “A highly trusted chief executive officer and leader in both St. Lucie and Martin counties, Mark Robitaille is well respected as a visionary and effective manager of the capital projects that have been completed under his direction. He has always instilled a culture of public service and community ownership.”
