Tuesday, February 12, 2013 - Craig Chindemi named Martin Health Vice President and Chief Philanthropic Officer

STUART, Fla., Feb. 12, 2013 – Craig T. Chindemi, CFRE, was recently named vice president and chief philanthropic officer for Martin Health System.

Chindemi comes to Martin Health with more than 25 years of experience in fundraising for health care, higher education and national social service agencies. Most recently, he served as vice president for institutional advancement at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y.

In his capacity at Martin Health, Chindemi will oversee the Martin Health Foundation, including all fundraising and philanthropic endeavors for the not-for-profit health system. He assumes the role of vice president and chief philanthropic officer from Arthur M. “Rusty” Brink Jr., who retired after serving in that position since 2005.

“Martin Health has demonstrated through the years that it has a strong partnership with the community, which has helped it deliver on its mission to provide exceptional health care to the patients it serves,” Chindemi said. “We hope to continue building on that partnership and that culture of philanthropy, laying a foundation for care that will endure for generations.”

A member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals since 1987, Chindemi has served a wide variety of organizations, including: the Paralyzed Veterans of America; Community Counseling Services, Nova Southeastern University and St. Thomas University in Miami.

He has also led numerous campaigns for health care providers, including the Jackson Memorial Hospital Foundation in Miami, Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and the National Dialogue on Cancer in New York.
