Harbour Ridge "Go Pink" Golf Tournament Benefits Breast Health Navigator Program
STUART, FL – Close to 300 golfers participated in the 9th annual Harbour Ridge “Go Pink!” Golf Tournament on February 18. Chaired by Connie Humphrey and Sandy Dahl, the event raised more than $30,000 for the Breast Health Navigator Program at Martin Health System. This was more than double the funds raised at last year’s event.
Encouraged by the “Go Pink!” committee at Harbour Ridge, many of the golfers sported pink streaks in their hair before teeing off to show their enthusiasm and earn extra raffle tickets. Stenciled pink ribbons were placed on the driving range and tee boxes and all participants were decked out in pink, black and white. The event included a ladies luncheon featuring pink food and an evening cocktail party open to all Harbour Ridge members.
“Harbour Ridge has been a very generous and thoughtful community partner with Martin Health,” said Craig Chindemi, Martin Health Foundation Vice President, Chief Philanthropic Officer. “Coping with the anxiety of being diagnosed with cancer is overwhelming and the proceeds from this annual tournament impact lives. The Martin Health Breast Health Navigator Program ensures that women and their families have access to vital information and resources that decrease barriers to services and aid them in gaining access to expedited care and services.”
