TOBACCO CESSATION PROGRAM

Martin Health and Healing Center in collaboration with Everglades Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) offers “Quit Smoking Now” classes to help anyone who wants to become tobacco free.  This program is highly successful and has changed the lives of the members of the community and associates. The program consists of six-weekly  classes or, for those who are unable to do a six week program, a 2-hour program is available called “Tools To Quit”.  

The program is conducted by trained facilitators who provide participants with the knowledge, techniques and support necessary to quit using tobacco. 
Program highlights include: 

1. Education and support to quit tobacco use.
2. FREE nicotine replacement therapies (gum, patches, lozenges).
3. Behavior change techniques, tools and coping strategies.
4. Comprehensive approach includes physical activity, relaxation and stress management.
5. Relapse prevention and support.
