The Toll of Smoking

Smoking can be deadly in the long run, but it also can affect the quality and length of life, according to a study published in 2004 in the journal Health Services Research. Researchers say that people who are able to stop smoking by age 35 appear to regain their health over the next 15 years, and may be able to avoid the long-term health affects of smoking, and may have a similar lifespan as someone who never smoked.
