(HealthDay News) -- Sitting in the car may not be the only way to get to work.
The American Council on Exercise offers these suggestions for turning commute time into exercise time:
If possible, walk or bike to work.
If you take public transportation, walking to the bus stop or train station is great exercise.
Ask your employer's human resources department what's available to help you achieve a more active commute, such as free bike storage or employee showers.
Ask colleagues if you can join them for a walk or bike to work, or find an online group that travels the same route.
