General Patient Visitation Policy

Please note: Specialty units may have different visitation policies, hours, etc.

• All visitors must enter through the main lobby and check in with security.
• Two visitors at a time will be permitted. Visitors between the ages of 6 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Additional visitors should wait in the lobby, coffee shop, or cafeteria until such time deemed appropriate to visit by the attending nurse.
• Visitors are encouraged to be soft spoken, limit cell phone usage, and not interfere with patient roommate rest.
• Visitors are not to use patient bathrooms. Public bathrooms are available in the main corridors on every floor.
• PATIENTS ON ISOLATION PRECAUTIONS: When a patient is in an isolation room, the room will be identified by signage on the door. All visitors must report to the nurse’s station for instruction prior to entry. Visitors will be limited to two at a time for no more than 1-2 hours. No visitors permitted under the age of 16. Visitors will don appropriate barrier attire prior to entry into the patient room.
