Cancer Survivors Day at Martin Health

May 6, 2015

CancerSurvivorsDay

On Friday, June 5, cancer survivors and their family and friends are invited to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day at the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center at Martin Health System.

The annual event takes place from noon – 2 p.m. and includes a catered lunch, inspirational stories and music. In keeping with the theme of this year's celebration, attendees are invited to wear super hero attire.

“Our cancer survivors truly are our super heroes” said Marie DeGrosa, cancer center site supervisor. “Many patients think they have to be 'cured' of cancer in order to be a cancer survivor, but survivorship really starts at the day of diagnosis and extends through the rest of your life.”

The Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center is located at 501 East Osceola Street in Stuart and has been providing expert cancer treatment and services to patients and their families for 15 years.

If you wish to attend Cancer Survivors Day, please RSVP by calling 772.223.5945 ext. 3736.
