Tradition Medical Center Expansion Updates

When the expansion of Tradition Medical Center is completed in early 2018, the state-of-the-art, acute care hospital will have doubled in size, with a total of nine stories and 180 patient rooms, and other service enhancements.

These enhancements have been completed:

• Interventional lab for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology and vascular procedures
• 18-bed observation unit designed to improve the flow of emergency patients who require extended or overnight stays
• 12-bed post-anesthesia care unit.

Coming in fall 2017:

• Expansion of maternity and neontal intensive care units.
• 12-bed progressive care unit to help patients transition from the ICU to a medical-surgical bed.
• Expanded inpatient capacity
• A second medical office building, which includes an outpatient surgery center and pharmacy, will be attached to the hospital.

Coming in spring 2018!

• A brand new pediatric unit so Port St. Lucie families have access to high quality inpatient pediatric care close to home, in their community.
